Monthly review - May 21

Time flies, and we are proud to provide you another update on our project. For many months, we have been concentrated on designing the aircraft, building it and and communicating about our participation to Air Race E. But we haven't mentioned one major thing :

The UR-1 airplane will be the fastest Swiss all-electric Aircraft

And why not break the world record? We will see once we get in the air!

Like always, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff members who are strongly engaged in this cutting-edge project.

Achievements

Last March we successfully completed our ailerons , in April we started our work on the wings. Despite some delays on the engineering side, the lamination work is ongoing and the wing should be ready for the next newsletter. Meanwhile, our female canopy mold is ready. We consider our objectives achieved.

Engineering :

The wing lamination work is ongoing
Many aluminium parts for the wings are currently in production
We are thoroughly testing new concepts for the battery fire protection system.
We have completed our canopy mold

Communication and Marketing :

In April, we continued to experience a raise of followers and subscribers on LinkedIn und Instagram despite minimum investments. Don't hesitate to follow us on these platforms for weekly updates.
In May, we are hiring a new technical news editor which will provide more content and updates on our website. We will then be providing a great platform for everyone who wants to learn more about electric aviation.
On the side of marketing, we are proud to partner with one of the biggest Swiss composite materials supplier, Suter Kunststoffe AG. In addition, we are in ongoing discussions to partner with one of the biggest Swiss tools provider, to be revealed soon! More information below

Short Outlook

In May, we keep focusing on creating our wings. Lamination work is ongoing, and after the skin is ready, we will add honeycomb layers as reinforcements and, in the end, all the structural elements such as ribs and spars.
